Today was one of the nicest days so far this year. It was a good day for a trip to the Zoo. Jerdon was teeny tiny his last visit. He will be 1 year old in two days. I think he may remember some of the sights this go around. Jerdon was especially excited to see the elephants. He pointed repeatedly telling us to look. It was very funny indeed! Its moments such as these I wish I had the film rolling. Amie however was more excited about the playgrounds than she was about the animals. She certainly is a live wire and very spoiled to her way. Keeping the child in sight is darn near impossible. All in all, I think both had a good time.

All the critters were out to look at. I unfortunately did not get to snap many pictures of them; although I did film a native prairie dog at his burrow. The kids saw some birds, fish, alligators, lions, hippos, and other stuff I cant remember. We brought a picnic lunch so we could make it that far. After lunch we manage to see the gorillas before Jerdon passed out on us. We planned to make a day of it, but he is just too little to make it thru the day without a nap. Maybe for Amie’s birthday we can try something new. Her and Jerdon both may enjoy the Zoo much more when they are a little older.
