Saturday was a fine day for a long drive out to the sticks. Toney, Robin & her Dad also came for a short visit. Brothers & Sisters had a nice talk about the Mickey Mouse Cookie Jar. Mom wrote a short story of its history that I may publish here at a later time.
Our time here was fun. It was nice to see everyone. I had not seen the Luther farm and bunch in awhile. It had been even longer for Mom. Barb had a birthday party for one of Jean Marie's husbands kids. Forgive me all for not remembering his name, but all the kids enjoyed it. Barb also invited us all to a halloween alternative for the kids at her church in Choctaw. Amie went as a little witch and Jerdon was tigger. It was quite a turn out.
Jerdon & Shala are captured here meeting each other while Mom holds Shala. Mom is also just getting acquainted here for the very first time. This little girl is a sweet heart, just ask the proud Mom & The Mom's parents and Grandparents. I believe the little one is about 7 weeks here.
All the kids take turns jumping on a well used trampoline. We had to watch the little ones close. Papa Forga was only allowing one at a time to avoid bumped noggins. Here I managed some photos of a rare event. Amie was conducting some serious electricity on the trampoline. Jerdon was so excited to get in on the action. It was so funny! Robin also took some photo's. Click
Sister, Brother & Kids, and myself ended our fun filled weekend with a trip to Martin Nature Park. It was an awesome day for a stroll in the woods. The fall colors here are more vibrant than ever. It was a perfect day for pictures.
Here the kids had a look at some ducks. The ducks were hungry but we had nothing to feed them. Jerdon wanted to get them so bad, or he may have just wanted in the water. I told Amie we could take one home for dinner, but she doesn't like to eat them.
This weekend we all spent some time Saturday looking for some new parks to take Jerdon & Amie to. We went to Will Rodgers Park close to my house. There was a duck pond to see but not much of anything else. I’m sure there is more too it but we decided to go to a park close by where Mom & Dad use to live. It was late evening before we really got started so our time at that one was short. Sunday, it was rainy and chilly so everyone came to my house. We had an early dinner (potatoe soup with mexican cornbread and BLT’s). Mom and I after a while had a chance to pick out some favorite pictures from her camera and mine. I’m posting a few of those here.
I will also be posting a video (note: if you have a slow connection speed it will take time to load) of Jerdon so everyone can see what a chunk he is. He’s such a cutie. Hope everyone enjoys! - Don
